Courses at the Tannery Cookery School
Grow, Cook, Eat Course with Michael Kelly and Paul Flynn at the Tannery
Michael Kelly and Paul Flynn course at the Tannery Cookery School, Dungarvan
GROW, COOK, EAT - THE JOY OF PRODUCING YOUR OWN FOOD
6 week evening course, from Wed 23rd September 2009, 7 pm to 9 pm
eu250 per person
This 6 week course is aimed at people who are interested in the idea of using their back garden or allotment to grow nutritious and healthy food, but aren’t quite sure where to start. Michael Kelly knows how you feel - five years ago he and his wife moved from the rat race in Dublin to live the good life on a windy rural acre in Waterford. Up to that point his only experience of growing was with a 100-year old Bonzai tree which died two weeks after he bought it. Five years later, Michael is here to share with you the joys of the good life, give you the inspiration you need to get growing and share with you (warts and all) what he has learned. On three of the evenings the course will include a cookery demonstration from Paul Flynn. There will also be a tour of the Tannery vegetable garden with Tim Yorke. Each week a selection of seasonal Tapas from the Tannery kitchen will be served during the break. To book visit http://www.tannery.ie or call 058 45420.
Keeping Hens in the Garden
